“ The hearing impaired would like a hearing instrument individually created for
their personal hearing needs. CENTRA™ provides the most personal and
comfortable listening experience possible. It tunes out annoying noises, but
leaves voices intact, identifies precisely where a sound is coming from. And,
even remembers preferred volume setting and adjusts automatically. The ideal
hearing solution is here: CENTRA. Central to what really matters. ”
This type of instrument has two components, the hearing aid and the earmold. The hearing aid is worn behind the ear and connects to a custom-made earmold that fits in the patient's ear.
The entire hearing aid is built into a custom-made shell obtained from an impression of the outer ear. The ITE is most appropriate for mild-moderate hearing losses.
The entire hearing aid is built into a custom-made shell obtained from an impression of the ear canal. This style of hearing aid is most appropriate for mild to moderate losses.
Like the ITC, the entire hearing aid is built into a custom-made shell obtained from an impression of the ear canal. The difference between the CIC and the ITC is that the CIC fits a bit further into the ear canal and extends deeper toward the eardrum.
